St Rita Wins American Heart Association Challenge
In order to keep children healthy and active, the American Heart Association developed a new initiative, the Heart Walk & Run Child Health Challenge.
The American Heart Association selected 25 local schools, including St. Rita School, to participate and asked them to make a video showing why they could use new PE equipment. Mr. Mutrie created a video with help from the entire school. Four winners were chosen out of the 25 video submissions and WE WERE ONE OF THEM!

C.A.S.E ~ Creating a Safe Environment
Everyone who volunteers in a classroom must take a CASE training (online or in person)
A Criminal Record Check must be done every 3 years. There are no exceptions! If you have completed this training at another parish in the Diocese of Rochester in the past three years, please let Elizabeth Kwiatkowski know.
To access the CASE on-line training program, follow these direction:
- Open your web browser and go to http://ec.dor.org (NOTE: there is now www)
- In the "Sign In" box on the left-hand enter St. Rita's unique username and password
- User name: IT327
- Password: initial
- If you've never done this training before, click on "First-Time C.A.S.E Volunteer Training" from the middle of the page.
- If you have done the training more than 3 years ago, click on "C.A.S.E. Re-Training".
The training takes about an hour to complete. Due to the mature content in the on-line training, it is not recommended you do it in the presence of children or on a public computer.
When you have successfully completed the on-line training program, please print out your test score and the Code of Conduct and Completion Certificate. Sign/Date the Code of Conduct and Completion Certificate.
Print out and complete the Criminal Record Check Release. Both completed forms can be dropped off at the school or parish office. Please have a form of ID ready to show at that time.
If you have any questions, contact Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, parish CASE coordinator, at [email protected] or 585-671-1100 x14.
