“The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul; the decree of the LORD is trustworthy, giving wisdom to the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the command of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eye. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, all of them just.”  ~Psalm 19

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

Even with the return of winter weather, we give thanks to the Lord as we continue in this holy season of the 3rd Sunday of Lent. Easter is on the near horizon!

Our Lenten Soup Supper Series continues on Tuesday in Room 1 beginning at 6:00pm followed by a Lenten Reflection at 6:45pm. This is Free and no registration is required. There will be delicious hearty crock pots of soup with a variety of breads, drinks and cookies. Bring the whole family! This week following our Soup Supper we will have our Taize Prayer. Please join us for this beautiful evening of quiet prayer and meditative music in our candlelit church.

On March 14th we will offer the Annual Diocesan Day of Penance at St. Rita from 12:30pm-7:30pm and at Churches throughout the Diocese. This is a great opportunity to receive the graces of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and experience the Lord’s everlasting love and mercy. Don’t worry if it has been awhile. There is no need to memorize anything as we will have printed guides available. Just come, bring the family and be at peace!

We are in need of volunteers at St. Rita to help us begin a new Special Events Committee to help plan and assist in the many seasonal event we have for our Parish and youth. See below for more information.

May God bless you this week!
Fr. Gonyo

To keep our parish vibrant and engage families of all ages, we need your help! Please consider joining our brand new Parish Special Events Committee to provide ideas and support before, during, and after special events throughout the year. All we need is a few hours of your time 3-4 times per year. This is a great opportunity for young adults, parents, grandparents, or anyone who has a little bit of time and talent to share. Our first event to plan is a parish Easter Egg Hunt, which is coming up soon! Please contact Elizabeth Kwiatkowski for more information or to become involved.
