Faith Formation Starts Monday, 9/30
The first Faith Formation session of the year will be on Monday, 9:30 at 4:30PM and 6:15PM. We will open the year with a prayer service. Parents/guardians, please plan to stay for a short meeting following the prayer service. The preliminary calendar is available here. Your final calendar will include your session time (per your selection) and group. Right now, we do not have enough catechists to safely and effectively work with all of the children in each session at the same time. We may get more volunteers, but with our current numbers, the plan will be to do a hybrid classroom and family-based format. Your children will be in the classroom every other week (with Group A or Group B), and will learn at home with you on the opposite weeks. You will recieve a lesson plan in your email, and an online quiz will be your attendance. Anne understands this will be an adjustment and may present some challenges, but is confident that we will all find many blessings in bringing Faith Formation into the family setting alongside the classroom.
Register Now For 2019-2020 Faith Formation!
Families are welcome to enroll their children in our Faith Formation program. Registration is now open for children in grades K-7. Families with children who do not attend Catholic school are highly encouraged to enroll in this program to help you provide them with a strong foundation in the faith.
You can download a PDF of the enrollment forms below, or register using our online forms here. Please note that there are two forms needed to complete your child(ren)’s enrollment. The Faith Formation Enrollment Form will provide the parish with all the information we need to place your child(ren) in Faith Formation sessions. The Diocese of Rochester Participation Form ensures that your child can receive prompt and appropriate medical care in the case of an emergency.
All enrollment forms are due to the Faith Formation office by Monday, September 2nd to ensure we can order your child(ren)'s books.
If your child is in 2nd grade (or above), they may be eligible to celebrate their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. This is a separate program with separate enrollment. Public school and home school families should enroll in Faith Formation first. You can find more information about our First Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation program here. Catholic school families do not need to enroll in Faith Formation.
If you have any questions, please email Anne Thomas or call 671-2079.
