Happy March!
Will March come in like a lion or lamb this year?!
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 2.
Students refelct on Prayer (PRAY is for love of God),
Fasting (FAST is for love of yourself), and
Almsgiving (GIVE is love for others)
- PRAY -The Stations of the Cross
- PRAY - The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary
- FAST - Sundays are a day of rest and not inculded in the 40 days of Lent because EVERY Sunday is Easter when we celebrate Jesus's death and resurrection through the Eucharist
- Give - Students were given a RICE BOWL to give money for the poor
~ March is that kind of month that welcomes change ~
- Daylight Saving Time begins on March 13
- Spring begins on March 20
March is also a good time for students to reflect on their study and work habits. Some suggestions are:
- Am I putting in enough time studying for tests?
- Do I know my math facts (without having to use my fingers)? Check out some great free online Math websites!
- Am I reading every night to practice fluency? Am I reading for fun?
- Am I reading different types (genres) of books to broaden my background knoweldge?
- Do I do my best work in school and on homework? (Am I neat? Did I spell words correctly and use correct letters and punctuation?)
May the luck of the Irish always be with you!
